When I mention to people that I run a style blog alongside working as a trainee lawyer, the first response that I’ll typically get is “WHAAAT” or “HOW SWAY” (or alternatives to the above). I’ve talked about balancing the two quite a lot on my blog; doing so is a part of who I am, and I think it’s one of the things that makes me a bit different to other style bloggers. It’s not the easiest thing, doing both and trying to do my best in both lanes, but I’m getting there.
Myself and two other bloggers have teamed up with the lovely team at heritage leather goods brand Smith & Canova to show you guys this perfect oxblood bag from their A/W ’17 collection as part of their #workingwomenCAN campaign. I jumped at the chance to get involved – I know that many of you also have a number of personal projects alongside working or studying (and BOSSING it as you go along, I’m sure) and that’s exactly what this campaign is about.
What I love about this bag is that it fits just as perfectly into my work wardrobe as it does into my weekend/blog friendly looks. As a modern working woman, I need to have hard working accessories that help me move quickly between “lawyer mode” and “blogger mode” – it’s big enough for my handbag essentials as well as my DSLR camera, notepad and a change of shoes (really!) So yes, this working woman CAN do both, and so can you, in whatever you do.
I totally believe that sharing is caring, whether it’s a small piece of career advice, a super useful life hack or a quick fashion tip. That said, Smith & Canova have given me the chance to share a second bag with one of you (you’re totally welcome). All you have to do is like, comment and share both this blog post and my connected social media posts, and at the end of this month the team will decide who (out of the three bloggers) wins. If it’s me, I get to pick one of you guys to have a bag for yourself! Win win.
